Mr. Khanal has spent seventeen years of his life in civil engineering construction, design, research, and planning works in Nepal, Switzerland and the United States. He holds Master’s of Advanced Studies in Water Resources Management and Engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Switzerland and Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has 14 years professional experiences in water supply, sanitation and hydropower projects, building construction (design and supervision), topographical survey, and river training and gravity flow of water supply projects in Nepal. Since last three years, he has been working in the United States in the on-site quality inspection of public and private building and road works in the Washington DC Metro area. He has got several trainings on concrete, soil, foundation, tilt up panels and steel structures from Washington Area Council of Engineering Laboratories and American Concrete Institute. He has also obtained Occupational Safety and Health training. Presently he has been working in Terracon Engineering as Construction Site Engineer. He has an exposure to and experience with multicultural working environment, multilingual professional with passion in the application of language to connect social, emotional and professional interactions. In Virginia, he has also obtained trainings and certifications on Nuclear Gauge Safety, Soil and Foundation, Highway Subgrade, Concrete and Soil Testing from Washington Area Council of Engineering Laboratories (WACEL), American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
